The name your clients see on WhatsApp
The rules Meta actually enforces, and why you should not try names until one sticks: every attempt burns a quota, approved ones included.
- 1
It is the name shown at the top of the chat when you message a client. It is not your Page name nor your portfolio name.
- 2
Before you touch anything: you get around ten changes every 30 days, and each submission burns one. Approved ones too.
CarefulThat is why you do not try names “to see if they pass”. Pick one that follows the rules and submit that. Running out of quota leaves you stuck with the wrong name until next month. - 3
The rules, briefly: it must be the name you are publicly known by — the same one on your website and your materials.
WhyMeta genuinely compares it against your website. If your site says “Casa Móvil” and you submit “Casa Móvil Panamá Real Estate”, it can be rejected. - 4
What almost always gets rejected: emojis, symbols, shouty capitals, bare generic words like “Sales” or “Info”, and trademarks that are not yours.
- 5
Examples that sail through: the agency name as-is, or the name plus the city if that is how you present yourself. No decoration.
- 6
You change it in Meta, in the number’s settings inside your WhatsApp account.
CarefulDo it there, once. There is no button in Orkasa that retries for you — precisely so your quota does not get burned.Open WhatsApp accounts in MetaCapture pending · Meta screenThe number’s settings in Meta: the display-name field and its approval status.
This screen is not Orkasa’s, so our script cannot capture it. It still needs to be replaced with a real screenshot.

Review usually takes a day or two. Meanwhile the number keeps working under the previous name.
- 8
If you already had the green official-account check, renaming removes it and you have to apply again.
CarefulWorth knowing in advance: people often change the name over a minor detail and lose something that took months to earn.
